A new work created by Riley Watts for Prometheus Dance

veil iii is the third choreography of the veil series being premiered throughout New England in 2018 and with Prometheus in 2019. In this phase of the work, the dancers investigate the states of their inner worlds by means of embodied memories and collective unconscious. The body’s movement through dance is considered a state of moving mind – not separating the mind and the body as separate entities but instead as forces of action within the same human system and in coordination with others in the space.

This work is being created through a series of week long residencies. Each culminating in an informal performance bringing the group through a personal journey  through charted and uncharted territory.

The first veil iii residency ran through the week of April 23-27 with a final showing April 27, 2018 at 8:00

The second veil iii residency will take place November 26-30 with an informal showing on November 30, 2018 at 8:00

Prometheus will premier veil iii for Word Music/CRASHArts  DANCE UP series January 26, 2019 8:00 at the ICA Theatre
