Prometheus Dance is committed to creating ongoing programs of Art Education that challenge perceptions, inspire creative thinking and promote awareness of human and cultural understanding. The Board of Directors and the Artistic Directors of Prometheus Dance share in the belief that the arts allow passage into an experience that can be gotten from no other source and that dance invites the audience to join in an experience without the use of language. The limits of our language can confine our perceptions. What we do in dance requires the audience to surrender to the unanticipated possibilities of the work as it unfolds. We seek to inspire our young audiences and to celebrate the diverse perspectives of each child’s individual view of each creative or performance experience.
